The lacrosse team ended the regular season on an encouraging note, stomping ODU 18-7 in our final game before the postseason. The team is ranked #20 in the nation, and they justified every bit of that rank in the beatdon, which included runs of 9-0 and 7-0 at different points. Junior Ashley Holofcener led the Tribe in scoring with 4 goals, while senior Mary Zulty and freshman Kyrstin Mackrides each added another 3. The victory was such a blowout that the final 14:01 was played with a running clock!
The Tribe wraps up the season at 4-3 in the CAA, and 10-7 overall. This as enough to claim the #4 seed in the CAA and advance to the conference tournament! The team will face off against top seeded James Madison on May 6 in Harrisonburg, Virginia. Wish our lacrosse players luck as they move on into postseason play!
