Two William and Mary football players were drafted today in the third segment of the NFL draft. Adrian Tracy was taken by the New York Giants as an Outside Linebacker in the 6th round, pick 184 overall. The next round, another NFC East team invested in a Tribe athlete, Defensive Tackle Sean Lissemore. Lissemore was drafted in Round 7, pick 234. We also had two players, David Caldwell and R.J. Archer, sign as free agents after the draft, by the Indianapolis Colts and Minnesota Vikings respectively.
The Tribe had a very successful season this far, and having two players drafted is a testament to how strong our team really was this fall! Having two players taken in the same draft is a rare feat for the Tribe, and Tribal Fever extends our warm congratulations to both Adrian Tracy and Sean Lissemore for their great work so far! Make sure and tune into Giants and Cowboys games next season to follow the 2010 Tribe graduates in the NFL!
